SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 2009 --- 10-6p.m.

Shadow Play Entertainment, Conversations Book Club and their literary partners are excited to announce this historic event geared towards sharing the gift of reading and books across the United States. On Saturday, November 21, 2009 between the hours of 10-6p.m., The Write Stuff founder and host Cyrus A. Webb is working with others in scheduling Reading Parties throughout the country geared towards 1) speaking in one voice in support of encouraging reading, 2) supporting local authors and their books and 3) providing a positive outlet that is sometimes overlooked with all the chaos going on in the world around us.

The events are part of the Art, Books & Beats movement (www.artbooksandbeats.com). Those participating will be listed below under their state along with what type of event they are hosting as well as the time of their event. All Reading Parties are free to the public.

If you are in a position to do so, we ask that you bring a new or used book to the event you attend. Book donations will benefit CityKids Foundation (http://www.citykids.com ), Common Ground Foundation (http://www.commongroundfoundation.org ), Everybody Wins (http://www.everybodywins.org ), Reading Tree (http://www.readingtree.org ), Adele's Literary Library (http://www.adelesliteracylibrary.org ) and NEA's "Read Across America" (http://www.nea.org ). Thousands of dollars in books will also be used by Conversations Book Club to donate to libraries and other organizations in need. Have questions about any of the events listed?

Mrs. P on Literacy & National Reading Day

SPECIAL EVENT: Winona, MS --- Stanley Clark of For The People Productions and Cyrus Webb of Shadow Play Entertainment will be hosting a Reading Party at Celebrity Entertainment Complex (3349 Hwy 51 S) beginning at 7p.m. A special call is going out to authors from across the country to participate as this is an event aimed at promoting reading and setting a new Guinness Book of World Record for most authors at one location!
