On Saturday, January 10, 2009 the judges for The Write Stuff began their search for the next big thing in publishing. Here are the results from the auditions held in Houston, TX.

On Saturday, January 17, 2009 the auditions for The Write Stuff were held in Atlanta, GA. Out of the strong contestants came the following contenders:

CONFIRMED FOR SEASON ONE: David Dickson (Newton, NC)

CONFIRMED FOR SEASON ONE: Darrell Bruner (Atlanta, GA)

On Saturday, February 14, 2009 The Write Stuff held auditions in Jackson, MS--- the very city where the idea for the historic reality show was birthed. Under the direction of judges/authors Joseph Henderson, Jerome Gentry, Dudley Sykes, Felita McElroy and Carrie Elizabeth Greene along with recording artist/poet Ondrea Nicole a total of three contestants and one finalist were chosen.

On Sunday, February 15, 2009 The Write Stuff reality show held auditions in Memphis, TN. Hosted by The Risque Cafe, the following contestants and finalists emerged:
