The Write Stuff Literacy Campaign

I am a co-founder of the Ugly Baby Writer’s Group that meets monthly at the Springville Center for the Arts, an organization I’ve participated in for many years. I’ve had my poetry published in the local newspaper and an essay I wrote appeared in the January/February issue of The Rambler magazine. I won first place in the first ever Science Fiction/Fantasy contest offered by the Writers’ Journal. On the Fanstory web site, I was recently awarded a second place finish for a short story I wrote. In 1998, I was awarded one of two honorable mentions in the Western New York Writer-in-Residence competition offered by the Just Buffalo Literary Center.  I love to create exciting characters and discover what they know.
